Father's Day 2009 Photo Shoot Disaster

I have big plans. Really, in my mind, I have make them all the time. Huge. Big. My most recent one involved three adorable girls and one stinkin hot day. I decided that the Boss really needed a boost for Father's Day (poor buddy, lost his wedding ring on our anniversary and his computer lifeline recently bit the big one) and what better way to bring on a smile than pictures of your girls.....
Please know that the odds were completely stacked against us due to the following -
*it.was.blazing.hot
*my children are 2, 4.5 months and 4.5 months
*it.was.blazing.hot
*I have shingles (another story for another day, people, please stay on topic)
*have I mentioned it was hot? It was so hot we were only there outside for about 6 minutes and 9 seconds and it's hard to get a good shot in that amount of time (unless I get this for a present someday, hint, hint)

So without further ado, I present to you
Father's Day 2009 Photo Shoot Disaster (please hold your applause until the end, thank you)
*********************************************************************************

things started out well, Lainey was talking, Anna Grace checking on the status of her toes and Emily was apparently starving...

then Lainey decided to go old school and bring out the bunny ears, all the while I am oblivious to the fact that my right foot is in every frame

L was trying to tell me something, but I was hollering "look at the camera" in that annoying sing-songy voice....

"see mom, I told you, we forgot Buike boy"

and finally, the best one of the day...

not bad for 6 minutes, 9 seconds, huh?

All that to say, we love you, Boss. We are so thankful for you. You work hard for us, your pray for us, and even while we are apart, you hold us in your heart. You will forever be our favorite! Happy Father's Day.
Hugs and kisses,
J, L, AG, E, and BB

  1. Sweetie, I can totally relate. I've had photo shoots with 150 pics taken - with merely 1 acceptable one. ONE. ACCEPTABLE. Not good, not great... you get the idea. If you send me 3 shots with each one looking at you - I'll edit and create you something wonderful!

  4. Jessie, you crack me up!!! I completely relate to the point and shoot drama of a photo shoot with multiple youngsters. My sister just got an awesome SLR and all day yesterday I kept telling Erick, "If my shutter speed were faster we wouldn't have this problem". Ha ha!!! I think I will break him down soon. The last pic is precious, so I would say you did pretty well for 6 min, 9 sec.

Sorry to hear about the ring, computer and shingles. Hopefully things will look up soon!!!
